UPSC Engineering Services Examination 2027: 480 पद, आवेदन और परीक्षा की पूरी जानकारी

संघ लोक सेवा आयोग (UPSC) ने Engineering Services Examination 2027 के लिए आधिकारिक notification जारी कर दिया है। इस परीक्षा के माध्यम से केंद्र सरकार के अलग-अलग technical departments में Group A और Group B स्तर के लगभग 480 पद भरे जाने हैं। Engineering की पढ़ाई कर चुके उम्मीदवारों के लिए यह देश की प्रमुख सरकारी परीक्षाओं में से एक है।

Online application 16 सितंबर 2026 से शुरू हो चुका है और form भरने की अंतिम तारीख 06 अक्टूबर 2026 शाम 6 बजे तक है। Civil, Mechanical, Electrical तथा Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering से जुड़े उम्मीदवार आवेदन कर सकते हैं। नीचे eligibility, age limit, fee, trades, selection process, exam pattern और जरूरी instructions को आसान हिंदी में विस्तार से बताया गया है।

आवेदन करने से पहले उम्मीदवार नीचे दी गई basic details जरूर देख लें। इससे परीक्षा का नाम, पदों की संख्या, engineering categories और important dates एक ही जगह समझ में आ जाएंगी।

UPSC ESE 2027 Notification

UPSC की notification में आवेदन प्रक्रिया से लेकर परीक्षा के हर stage की जानकारी दी गई है। इसमें उम्र, educational qualification, engineering discipline, fee, exam centres, medical standards और conduct rules शामिल हैं। Form submit करने से पहले उम्मीदवार को पूरी notification ध्यान से पढ़नी चाहिए, क्योंकि गलत जानकारी देने पर candidature रद्द हो सकती है।

इस भर्ती परीक्षा का notice number 02/2027-ENGG है। पदों की संख्या लगभग 480 बताई गई है, जिसमें benchmark disability वाले उम्मीदवारों के लिए भी पद शामिल हैं। Department या category के अनुसार अंतिम संख्या में बदलाव संभव है, इसलिए आगे आने वाले UPSC updates देखते रहें।

Important Dates

UPSC ESE 2027 की application और examination dates नीचे दी गई हैं। अंतिम समय में server load या technical issue से बचने के लिए form पहले ही पूरा कर लेना बेहतर रहेगा।

Preliminary exam में सफल उम्मीदवार ही Main exam के लिए आगे बढ़ेंगे। Main के बाद qualified candidates को Personality Test और documents से जुड़ी प्रक्रिया के लिए बुलाया जाएगा।

Application Fee

Application fee उम्मीदवार की category के अनुसार अलग है। भुगतान online उपलब्ध payment options से किया जा सकता है। Fee जमा करने के बाद receipt या transaction proof सुरक्षित रखें।

Fee exemption केवल eligible categories को मिलेगी। यदि portal पर category गलत चुनी गई है या जरूरी certificate उपलब्ध नहीं है, तो बाद में परेशानी हो सकती है। इसलिए payment से पहले form में भरी गई category की जांच करें।

Age Limit

उम्मीदवार की उम्र 01 जनवरी 2027 को कम से कम 21 वर्ष और अधिकतम 30 वर्ष होनी चाहिए। सामान्य age range के अनुसार जन्म 02 जनवरी 1997 से पहले और 01 जनवरी 2006 के बाद नहीं होना चाहिए।

Age Relaxation

आरक्षित और विशेष categories को सरकारी नियमों के अनुसार upper age limit में छूट दी जाएगी। उम्मीदवार के पास संबंधित category का valid certificate होना जरूरी है।

एक से अधिक relaxation claim करने की स्थिति में वही छूट लागू होगी जिसकी अनुमति notification और सरकारी नियम देते हैं। केवल category नाम चुनना पर्याप्त नहीं है; verification के समय सही format का certificate देना होगा।

Educational Qualification और Engineering Trades

इस परीक्षा के लिए मुख्य योग्यता किसी मान्यता प्राप्त University या Institution से Engineering degree है। उम्मीदवार को उसी engineering category में form भरना चाहिए जिसमें उसकी degree या notification के अनुसार स्वीकार की गई equivalent qualification आती हो। चार मुख्य trades नीचे दिए गए हैं।

Trade-wise Eligibility

UPSC ESE 2027 में चार engineering categories उपलब्ध हैं। अपनी degree branch और जिस paper को आप पढ़ सकते हैं, दोनों को ध्यान में रखकर category चुनें।

Equivalent Qualification और Final Year Candidates

कुछ notified services के लिए सामान्य Engineering degree के अलावा equivalent professional qualification भी स्वीकार हो सकती है। Electronics या radio communication से जुड़ी कुछ services में संबंधित विषयों की M.Sc. qualification भी notification की शर्तों के अनुसार मान्य हो सकती है।

• Final year या result-awaiting उम्मीदवार provisional रूप से आवेदन कर सकते हैं, लेकिन तय stage पर qualification का proof देना होगा।
• Degree का नाम थोड़ा अलग होने पर केवल अनुमान के आधार पर trade न चुनें; official equivalence condition जरूर मिलाएं।
• Electronics, Wireless Communication, Radio Physics या Radio Engineering जैसे M.Sc. subjects की eligibility केवल उन services पर लागू होगी जिनके लिए notification में अनुमति है।
• Document verification के समय marksheet, degree/provisional certificate और category certificate मांगे जा सकते हैं।

Nationality से जुड़ी शर्त

आवेदक को UPSC notification में दी गई nationality condition पूरी करनी होगी। भारतीय नागरिकों के अलावा कुछ notified categories के candidates भी निर्धारित eligibility और Government of India के eligibility certificate के आधार पर आवेदन कर सकते हैं। यदि यह condition आप पर लागू होती है, तो form भरने से पहले संबंधित certificate की जरूरत जरूर जांच लें।

पदों की संख्या और PwBD Details

इस examination के माध्यम से लगभग 480 पदों पर चयन किया जाना है। ये पद अलग-अलग participating departments और services में बांटे जाएंगे। Department-wise और category-wise final distribution आयोग या संबंधित cadre authority के अनुसार तय होगा।

PwBD candidates को केवल संख्या देखकर category नहीं चुननी चाहिए। संबंधित post की functional requirement, medical standard और disability suitability notification के annexure में देखना जरूरी है।

Physical और Medical Standards

Final appointment के लिए written exam और interview qualify करना ही पर्याप्त नहीं है। Candidate को संबंधित service के physical और medical standards भी पूरे करने होंगे। Medical examination में post की nature के अनुसार eyesight, hearing, general fitness और अन्य functional requirements जांची जा सकती हैं।

Benchmark disability वाले candidates के लिए suitability और allowed accommodations अलग annexures में दिए गए हैं। Scribe, compensatory time या अन्य सुविधा claim करने वाले उम्मीदवारों को prescribed certificate और required documents समय पर देने होंगे। Medical rules को हल्के में न लें, क्योंकि service allocation और appointment इन standards से प्रभावित हो सकते हैं।

Selection Process

UPSC Engineering Services Examination 2027 का selection तीन मुख्य stages में होगा। हर stage की performance final merit में महत्वपूर्ण है।

1. Stage 1: Preliminary Examination – Objective type papers, कुल 500 marks
2. Stage 2: Main Examination – Conventional/descriptive papers, कुल 600 marks
3. Stage 3: Personality Test – कुल 200 marks

Prelims screening के साथ merit में भी शामिल है। Main और Personality Test के marks जोड़कर, तथा applicable rules के अनुसार सभी stages के performance पर final ranking तैयार की जाती है। Written stages और interview का कुल योग 1300 marks है।

Preliminary Examination Pattern

Preliminary exam में दो objective papers होंगे। Paper-I सभी engineering categories के लिए General Studies and Engineering Aptitude का होगा, जबकि Paper-II उम्मीदवार की चुनी हुई engineering discipline पर आधारित होगा।

Objective papers में गलत उत्तर देने पर negative marking होगी। प्रत्येक wrong answer के लिए उस question के निर्धारित marks का एक-तिहाई काटा जा सकता है। बिना सोचे guess करने के बजाय केवल उन्हीं questions को attempt करें जिनमें उचित confidence हो।

Main Examination Pattern

Main exam conventional यानी descriptive nature का होगा। चुनी गई engineering discipline के दो papers होंगे और दोनों में technical answers विस्तार से लिखने होंगे।

Main examination के question papers और answers English में होंगे। Conventional papers में presentation, calculation steps, diagram और technical explanation महत्वपूर्ण रहते हैं। Notification में अनुमति के अनुसार केवल non-programmable calculator का उपयोग किया जा सकता है; programmable या smart device ले जाना allowed नहीं है।

Personality Test और Final Merit

Main examination qualify करने वाले candidates को Personality Test के लिए बुलाया जाएगा। यह 200 marks का होगा। इसमें केवल book knowledge नहीं, बल्कि engineering understanding, decision-making, communication, awareness, leadership potential और public service के लिए suitability देखी जाती है।

Final merit के लिए written examination और Personality Test के marks का उपयोग किया जाएगा। Candidate की service preference, rank, category, medical fitness और available posts के आधार पर allocation किया जा सकता है। इसलिए form में preferences भरते समय जल्दबाजी न करें।

Online Registration और Application Process

UPSC के online system में candidate को पहले registration पूरा करना होगा। Notification के अनुसार Universal Registration Number lifetime use के लिए बनाया जाता है, इसलिए इसे सुरक्षित रखें। बार-बार नया registration बनाने से profile या application में confusion हो सकता है।

1. UPSC के official online application portal पर जाएं।
2. New candidate होने पर basic details के साथ registration पूरा करें और Universal Registration Number बनाएं।
3. Login करके personal details, address, educational qualification और category की जानकारी भरें।
4. Engineering trade चुनें और exam centre तथा अन्य मांगी गई preferences ध्यान से भरें।
5. Recent photograph, signature और जरूरी documents portal की technical instructions के अनुसार upload करें।
6. यदि fee लागू है तो ₹200 का online payment पूरा करें।
7. Preview page पर नाम, जन्मतिथि, trade, category, photo और signature दोबारा जांचें।
8. Final submit करने के बाद application form और payment receipt download करके सुरक्षित रखें।

Photo और signature साफ, सही orientation में और मांगे गए file format/size में होने चाहिए। Exact dimensions या file limits portal पर दिखाई गई current instructions के अनुसार रखें। धुंधली photo, गलत signature या दूसरे व्यक्ति की image application में problem पैदा कर सकती है।

परीक्षा से जुड़े जरूरी नियम

UPSC examination में conduct rules सख्ती से लागू होते हैं। Admit card और centre instructions मिलने के बाद उन्हें पूरा पढ़ें और reporting time से पहले centre पहुंचें।

• Mobile phone, smartwatch, Bluetooth device, calculator वाला electronic gadget या communication device exam hall में ले जाना मना है।
• Prelims में wrong answer पर one-third negative marking लागू होगी।
• OMR sheet या answer book पर केवल permitted method से entry करें और roll number सही भरें।
• Main exam में केवल allowed non-programmable calculator इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता है।
• Question paper से संबंधित representation के लिए आयोग की तय online window का उपयोग करना होगा; यह window exam के तीसरे दिन से शुरू होकर सातवें दिन शाम 6 बजे तक उपलब्ध रहती है।
